I love making jewelry...
Jewelry Designs by Lainie of Lor started out as a hobby. I have always been interested in natural gemstones and how to incorporate them in to my life. Made my first pair of earrings back in 1995 after seeing a pair that I could not afford. Over the years I made many pieces of jewelry for myself and for gifts to friends and family. Fast forward to today this website is the culmination of all that I have learned along the way. GEMSTONES
Made with natural stones...
My designs are made with natural gemstones and stones that are either their natural color or have been dyed or heat treated. As Turquoise is extremely expensive I have used alternative colored dyed stones such as Howlite and Magnesite in my designs for affordability. Please check piece descriptions for stone or gem content.
METALS
The metals I use...
Metal content of earring fishooks, necklace and bracelet clasps, and beads used in my designs will be specified in description of pieces. Silvertone, Coppertone, and Goldtone are metals that I cannot guarantee their content as to allergies. Silver and Gold plated are a better quality metal and will be in the descriptions as Silver, 14K Gold and Rose Gold. Stainless Steel is an alternative to Silver that can be substituted if you have allergies. Please let me know and I will accommodate your request at no additional charge.
